Village: Viroaga Ottoman name of village: Cealmagea Latitude: 43.8976333 Longitude: 028.0626639 Date: 19th century Description: On the northern side of the road is a cemetery with graves marked with large stones, the vast majority unmarked, positioned at the head and feet of the deceased. Some of the tombs are also covered with small stones. Among the stones used as tombstones are the so-called arman stones. In the eastern corner of the cemetery is a broken tombstone decorated in pseudo-Ottoman style, inscribed in Arabic characters but the year of death of the deceased is from the 4th decade of the 20th century. Another tombstone is inscribed in Arabic and Latin characters and indicates the year of death of the one for whom it was erected as 1963. On the south side of the cemetery the graves are arranged in rows. being visible 4-5 rows. There are about 15 graves on each row. The territory on which the cemetery is located is delimited by a ditch. The Muslim cemetery belonged to the former village of Cealmagea, a village that was abolished in the 1960s and incorporated into the village of Viroaga.
